One helpful spiritual thing we can do is to reframe difficult events.

In the Chinese language, the word “crisis” is written with two characters and each stands for a different concept. The first represents “danger,” the second “opportunity.” Our English word “crisis” has an all-negative connotation. But the Chinese word invites you to see both the downside and the upside. It doesn’t deny the negative. But it suggests a positive aspect as well.
