Ministry Monday: Help for Pastors… a New Sermon on How to Manage Finances

Help for Pastors: a New Sermon on How to Manage Finances

Finances are such an important part of your life. You can’t be fully devoted to following Christ if you’re messed up in your money management.

Jesus said that how you deal with money is a key indicator of where you are in your spiritual life. He said that where your treasure (your money) is, that’s where your heart is. And He let you know that how you handle money is a test to see if you can handle more important things. He said that unless you are faithful in small matters, you won’t be faithful in large ones. In the context He was referring to handling money, which in the scope of things is a small matter and the large ones He was talking about are the things that pertain to your soul.

If you are a Christ-follower, you know something of the quality of your relationship with God by looking at your use of money.

If you’re a pastor looking for a sermon on finances or just someone who is looking for spiritual guidance in the financial department, the sermon below is available to you. The sermon outlines six financial necessities that if followed, will lead you to financial health and take the stress out of your money management. It is important to note that it takes combining all six essentials together to have and maintain financial health. As we go through them, you (and/or your congregation) may be doing some of them, but not all of them. And it takes all of them to get the results of peace and health in your finances.
