ABOUT LIFEEQUIP – WHY WE EXIST

LifeEquip’s mission is to impact local communities with the gospel by increasing the effectiveness of the local church.

Jesus said the greatest two commandments are to love God and love others. Paul informs us that without love, nothing else matters. LifeEquip exists to inculcate the leadership of love into the culture and fabric of local church and Christian organizations life.

LifeEquip aspires to encourage pastors and Christian leaders and to advance the Church of Jesus Christ by assisting churches and Christian organizations to achieve C4 (increasing competence, credibility, clarity, and creativity) and enjoyment through the inculcation of Biblical love and servant leadership throughout their organization.

We come along side each pastor and church to assess the needs and develop a unique and individualized plan to increase servant leadership. LifeEquip helps instill a culture that is defined by biblical love. We also work with each organization, helping them implement the processes needed to gain improvements in each area of the organization.

LIFEEQUIP’S LEADERSHIP TEAM

GLENN STEWART

Founder & Pastor Coach

Glenn has 40 years of experience leading churches, planting a church, and developing leaders. He has served as an adjunct professor of theology and leadership at the Orlando campus of Palm Beach Atlantic University, and as the chairman of the board of a Christian college and seminary. Along with his degrees in Bible and theology, he has a master’s degree in organizational leadership.

Certified as a human behavior consultant, Glenn is an authorized Wiley Everything DiSC© partner, a partner with Organizational Leadership Assessment (OLA) which measures organizational health from a servant leadership perspective, a certified facilitator of Ken Blanchard’s Lead Like Jesus Encounter Groups, and certified with CPP (a world leader in personality, career, and organizational development assessments).

Glenn has provided speaking engagements and workplace training for more than 150 organizations nationally and internationally. His list of clients includes United Technologies at Kennedy Space Center, Auburn University, the Army Corps of Engineers, Veteran’s Administration Hospitals, the U.S. Navy, Florida Hospital, and CRU.

SCOTT STEWART

LifeEquip CEO

Scott has over 15 years experience in program, operations, and change management. For over 10 years, he served as worship leader in several churches during his service as a submarine officer in the US Navy. He is currently a portfolio manager for an engineering consulting firm and managing partner of The MKG Group, a small business consulting firm. His degrees include a BS in mechanical engineering (Central Florida), a MS in engineering management (Old Dominion), and MA in business management (Harvard). He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB). Scott brings experience in the areas of strategic planning, change management, and operational excellence.

BRENDA STEWART

Content Specialist and Event Facilitator

Brenda Stewart has her Masters of Arts in clinical mental health counseling, is a Nationally Certified Counselor, and has completed EMDR Level 1 training. Brenda has served in various capacities with Crossroads Counseling Centers, Queen of Peace Center, Tavryiyskiy Christian Institute, State Farm, Lake Mary Preparatory School, J. Rolfe Davis Insurance, Reliance Standard Life Insurance, and Florida Hospital. Brenda has a tremendous heart to serve others and see hearts heal. She rejoices in every opportunity to counsel and is proud to serve as a member of the LifeEquip team.

LAWRENCE GENE FOLTZ

Board Member

Gene has forty years of ministry and business experience internationally and in the US. He has lived in SE Asia and Africa. He served twelve years as field director with NTM Thailand, was the founder of Grace International School, Cornerstone Language Schools, CCF church, and also founder/owner of a number of businesses in Thailand used as a platform of employment for the nationals.

Since returning to the USA in 2003, Gene has served as the development director for NTM International, Executive Director for BRC Foundation, launched a commodities trading project in Africa, and owns a consulting company that works with businesses and ministries. He offers assistance in fund development, educational start-ups, and missional business initiatives. Gene has many years of experience in leadership, vision building, fundraising, and pastoral work. He serves on six boards and is an elder at Faith Community Church. Presently, Gene is the Gateway Language Director for Wycliffe Associates for the South Pacific region. Gene & Sherrie have two adult children and six wonderful grandchildren. Both children and their families are in full-time ministry.

BOB BOLANDER

Board Member

Bob holds a Master of Arts in theology, a Bachelor of Arts in church ministry, and minor in public speaking. For 18 years, Bob, his wife Bonnie, and their children served in church ministry as youth pastor, lead pastor, and as a minster planter. When family circumstances required a change, Bob accepted a position with Premier Designs, Inc. where he has been Vice President for 14 years. Bob understands that God has prepared his life to equip others for the work of ministry. Bob serves as Directional Pastor at MacArthur Blvd. where he oversees the spiritual, missional, and organizational health and progress of the church. He is also directly involved in equipping members to do the work of the ministry through discipleship and teaching.

DANIEL HOPPER

Board Member

Daniel Hopper is a LifeEquip board member. He has 15 years of experience as an executive leader in software design and architecture, system infrastructure design, and system integrations in the auto industry. He was previously an Enterprise Architect for CDK Global, the Chief Technology Officer for Tribinium, and Chief Software Architect for ADP/BZ Results. In Daniel’s current position, he is responsible for the architecture and engineering of the CarSaver platforms. He also has 10 years of experience as a worship leader, developing teams, and working in worship technology.

EMILYANN GIRDNER

Communications Specialist

Emilyann is an author, artist, designer, and marketing specialist. She studied graphic design and creative writing in college, before graduating with a BFA in digital art and a minor in art history. She hopes to share a love for others and God in all she does. She works to further the reach of God’s love and help strengthen local churches by serving as a Sunday school teacher and through her communications and editorial work with LifeEquip.
